"LOUISVILLE SLUGGER'S" NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

RF Sawyer Carroll, Kentucky: Carroll had one of the most prolific offensive weeks in school history as he belted 4 home runs with 17 RBIs as he went 14-for-21 at the plate during six games last week. Carroll has now homered in four straight games, a feat believed to have never been accomplished in the history of the program. What makes the achievement even more impressive is that Carroll only hit 3 home runs in 54 games last season.

CF Michael Rockett, Texas-San Antonio: Rockett went 10-for-16 with 4 doubles, a triple, his first home run of the year and 9 RBIs. He also had 19 total bases and scored 6 times. The highlight of his weekend came in a game against Sacred Heart as he hit for the cycle, a first in the program's 17-year-history, in the game's first four innings. He also had a career-high 6 RBIs. He doubled in the first, singled in the second, homered in the third and tripled in the fourth before taking the rest of the game off.

RHP Scott Gorgen, U.C. Irvine: Gorgen logged his seventh career complete game in a 4-0 win over San Francisco. He struck out a career-high 12 batters and issued just one walk. He fanned five of the first six batters before yielding a single in the top of the third. He then retired the next 19 straight batters and faced just two over the minimum.

RHP Barry Bowden, Southern Mississippi: Bowden fired a 2-hit shutout over Louisiana-Lafayette. He tied a career high with 10 strikeouts and did not walk a batter. Bowden retired the final 13 batters of the game and 26 of the last 27 for his fourth career complete game.
