"LOUISVILLE SLUGGER'S"
NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
 | LHP Rich Hill, Michigan: Hill
struck out 17 batters in nine innings during the past week and also had four assists
(pitcher to first base defensive plays with two being bunts) as he accounted for 21 of 27
outs. He had a 2-inning stint against Notre Dame and fanned all six batters he faced. Then
later in the week against Ohio St., he fanned 11 batters in seven innings in a 5-4
Wolverine victory.
|
 | LHP Keith Ramsey, Florida: Ramsey
hurled a 9-inning one-hitter at Mississippi St. in a 4-0 win. After pitching out of a
bases loaded jam in the first inning, Ramsey registered 10 consecutive outs from the end
of the first inning through the fourth. After the first inning, he allowed just two
baserunners until the ninth which were both walks. The two were erased with double plays.
|
 | SS Khalil Greene, Clemson: Greene only played in
two games last week against 11th ranked Georgia Tech. But he was simply sensational as he
was 7-for-8 at the plate with 2 homers, 1 double and 7 RBI. |
