"LOUISVILLE SLUGGER'S"
NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
 | C/DH/1B Ben Stanley,
Wisconsin-Oshkosh: Stanley had a mammoth week as he belted seven home runs over six
games. What makes the achievement even more remarkable is that he only had seven career
home runs in his previous three years at the school. In those six games, he went 16-for-26
at the plate with seven homers, one double, 14 RBI, 10 runs scored and 4 walks.
|
 | OF Kevin White, Presbyterian
College: White cracked six home runs over five games and knocked in 12 runs as he went
8-for-19 at the plate. He also scored nine runs.
|
 | RHP Brad Sullivan, Houston: Sullivan
set a Houston single-game record with 16 strikeouts in only 7 innings against Memphis. He
scattered three hits and allowed only two balls out of the infield and none after the
fourth inning. He struck out every Memphis starter at least once in the game.
|
 | LHP Shaun Reed, Eastern Nazarene: Reed struck out
a school record 19 batters in a win over Anna Maria College. He fanned the first five
hitters of the game and recorded strikeouts for the last seven outs of the game. |
