"LOUISVILLE
SLUGGER'S" PRE-SEASON ALL-AMERICAN BASEBALL TEAMS
TUCSON, Ariz. — The 2011 Louisville Slugger
pre-season All-American baseball teams, selected by Collegiate Baseball
newspaper, features a who's who of NCAA Division I baseball players.
The pre-season pick as National Player of The
Year is LHP Matt Purke of Texas Christian. He posted a 16-0 record last season
with a 3.02 ERA in his freshman year with the Horned Frogs as he struck out 142
batters with only 34 walks. He is expected to be a first round pick next June in
the Free Agent Draft.
The three All-American teams include:
